Just five miles northwest of downtown Boston, Medford is where I live. Cursed, yet blessed, with the New England weather; winter, spring, summer, and fall, is when we experience snow, winds, rain, heat, and sun. We’re not too busy, but not too isolated. From homes, parks, shopping areas, to schools, we are able to have many activity options. We can enjoy our own town, or travel by car, bus, and/or train into the city. Up for a walk in the park? Enjoy Boston Common. Feeling fancy? Enjoy the Prudential and Newbury Street. Tourist attractions? There’s Quincy Market, or enjoy the duck tours! It’s the perfect place full of diverse individuals, each living for a difference purpose.

What do I live for? I live for my family, music, and myself. My parents and relatives have risked their lives in order to provide a better life for my brother and me. We have many opportunities to blossom; some that we take for granted. Music has impacted me greatly; it has guided me through good and difficult times. Overall, it had directed me throughout life. Without it, I’d be a whole different person; I rely on it daily, as it inspires and motivates me to become influential.

I have ambitions and aspirations to one day formulate teen programs in the Greater Boston area that are based on the five elements of hip-hop. I want others to feel how I now feel. We often blame society and our surroundings for the negative aspects in our life, when we are apart of it. However, we have the power to change how we feel; we are that part of society. Music’s powerful and has the ability to change a person. There is so much to learn; from life, love, history, expression, to an infinite amount of topics. I’m living to be able to one day create a positive movement for future generations. I’m living to prove to myself that there is a purpose to my existence. We are all born for a reason; many choose to live by the status quo, but that’s boring. I’m here to express my individuality, and inspire others to do so also.
